Wi-Fi in Halls of Residence - Planned Maintenance - Wednesday 22nd October 0800 - 1700
Between 0800-1700 hours on Wednesday 22nd October 2025, an essential upgrade to the University’s Wi-Fi network in some Halls of Residences will be carried out.
Networks:
- Eduroam
- Resnet
- uos-connect
- BT WiFi Free (available in some reception areas)
This will result in a full loss of the service for up to 30 minutes over the course of the morning, and further shorter outages later in the day. Wired connections, such as UniPrint devices, computers in staff offices, or computer classroom pcs will not be affected.
This information has also been shared to Residential Service Managers.
