Parallels RAS Client - error message appearing

We have received a number of reports of an error message appearing when using Parallels RAS Client.

The message refers to 'Credentials authentication type being disabled on the server'

This has been seen to appear:

  • at the start of the day - when opening Parallels RAS Client for the first time
  • or after a period of time using one of the applications launched via Parallels (SITS etc)

This has been logged as a problem - and we are working with the vendor for a resolution.

In the meantime - If you receive the message when using Parallels - the steps to perform are:

  • From the Parallels RAS Client - select the File menu > Exit
  • Any applications opened via Parallels should remain open (SITS, etc.)
  • Start the Parallels Client again and log in again
